Matanzas Half-Day Trip from Varadero Cave Tour

The Caves of Matanzas are a fan favorite among the touristic places near Varadero. Bellamar Caves date back 300 000 years and are one of Cuba´s natural treasures. Saturn Cave is a cavern flooded with transparent water, full of twisted rock structures that seem to drip from the ceiling. Take in the beauty of Mother Nature´s work, a gift to the senses that comes in the thousand shapes of stalactites and stalagmites

• Pick up at your accommodation in Varadero area.
• Drive through local villages until Matanzas City.
• Visit Bellamar Caves for an hour tour in the caverns and galleries (Entrance fee 5 USD per person /optional 5 USD to bring a camera into the cave).
• Visit Saturn Caves for swimming time (entrance fee 5USD by person not included in the price of the tour)
• Lunch break: Typical Cuban food in a restaurant called Paladar where food and drinks are safe (Optional/ Not included in the price of the tour)
• Return to accommodation.

Recommendations: This tour is not recommended to people with knee surgery, hip replacement surgery or any other motion disability due to the physical effort required visiting the cave. Dress casually with light clothing, sunglasses, hats or caps. Bring solar protection, comfortable closed shoes and bathing suit.
