The capital city of Matanzas's Province is known to be a great touristic destination. Called Athens of Cuba since 1860, the city grew on the shores of a very large bay, and it’s crossed by 4 rivers. In the 19th century it was the most modern and best built city of Cuba, and even today maintains its mesmerizing elegance. Walk from Liberty Square to Vigil Square in a meeting with the city's cultural wealth.
